Challenge
To make cold outreach work effectively, NewtonX required best-in-class orchestration and visibility – across email and social.
Leon Mishkis, COO of NewtonX, knew he needed to scale the company’s outreach engine and transform it into a top-tier operation. NewtonX already had an amazing product in market and an entire salesforce, but they needed to build a top of funnel outbound function, scale up qualified pipeline, and in turn diversify their acquisition channels – instead of just waiting on inbound and repeat business to drive growth. To make this happen, Leon intuitively understood that the old way (circa 2008) of sending out one-off email campaigns wouldn’t work consistently.
Instead, NewtonX’s outreach engine would require a number of intricacies to get right, spanning proper buyer segmentation, buy-in across reps, careful spam filtering, thoughtful and on-brand messaging, automated follow-ups, personalized A/B creative testing, and ongoing monitoring.
However, hiring a full-time team of outbound experts to execute against Leon’s strategy would necessitate too much overhead. That’s when he kicked off a search that led to SellScale.
